500 gms – urad dal (dhuli)
300 gms –ghee
300 gms – sugar powder
1/2 tsp – cardamom powder
Clean the dal dry,grind it to a fine powder.
Heat ghee in a deep heavy pan on medium flame,add urad dal powder,continuous stir,cook till color changes to light brown,paste becomes foamy,it will take 10-12 minutes.Turn off flame,add sugar powder,mix well.Pour it into a greased tray and level it with greased knife.When comfortable hot cut into desired shape, after cooling well take it out from the tray.Barfi is ready.
