Tandoori Stuffed Broccoli / Cauliflower in Gravy

Ingredients – 1 medium size broccoli/cauliflower

Ingredients for stuffing – 1 Cup great paneer ½-cup great chesses 2 tsp. kismis 1tsp.  Ginger paste 1tsp. chop green coriander 1tsp. chop mint leaves 1tsp chop green chilli 1tbs.multi purpose flour 1tsp. mix spice powder salt to taste

Ingredients for marinate – 1cup curd( masca)  1tsp. red chilli powder ½  tsp. turmeric powder 1tsp. mix spice powder 1 tsp. ginger-garlic paste 1tsp. oil  salt  to taste

Ingredients for gravy –

(a) 2 medium onions grated

(b) 2tsp. ginger–garlic paste

(d)2tsp. chilli powder

(e) 1tsp. turmeric powder

(f) 2tsp. coriander –cumin powder

(g) 1tsp. mix spice powder

(h) Paste of 1tsp. khaskhas 8-10 kaju 1tbs. coconut powder

(i) 1 pinch kessar & ½-cup milk

(j) 2 bay leaf ½ tsp. kalonji   ½ tsp. shahi zeera   1tsp. cumin

(k) 1tsp. kasoori mathi

(l) 1tbs. oil

(m) Salt to taste


In salt water, deep either broccoli or cauliflower up to 10 minutes .After 10 minutes, Broccoli / cauliflower wash with clean water. After cleaning, follow the steps as mentioned below.

  1. Mix all the stuffing ingredients and stuff into broccoli / cauliflower.
  2. Mix all the marinate ingredients into broccoli/cauliflower for marinate up to 10 min. After marinating, bake into oven or tandoor.
  3. If oven or tandoor is not available, steam into cooker.
  4. After steaming, broccoli or cauliflower to be cello fry in non-stick pan with   spread oil.


In pan one tablespoon oil and heat up and add   bay leaves, shahi zerra, kalonji & cumin. After crackling of cumin put grated onion into the pan. After light golden onion, put ginger garlic paste in the pan and cook. After 3 to 4 minutes, add tomato puree, chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and cooked until it leaves oil.  Add kaju and khaskhas paste into gravy. Cook for another 3-4 minutes and add  milky kessar , salt, mix spice powder,  marinated massala, stuffing massala , into  gravy  and   cooked it for  4-5 minutes.  After confirmation of the consistency   of the gravy, put gas off.

In  a serving  plate,   put  a  slice  of  a  broccoli  and  put  a  gravy   on  a broccoli. For  garnishing , sprinkle   kassori  methi  ,chop  coriander , grated  chesses  and serve into a Tandoori roti , Nan ,paratha  or  kulcha  . Now it is ready for delicious Tandoori stuff broccoli /cauliflower in gravy.

NOTE:- if we don’t want serve with gravy  than slice a  broccoli /cauliflower , sprinkle  chat massala add a lemon juice  and serve  to  onion  tomato  salad and  almond  dip  or  any  dip  to  serve.
