sooji (semolina flour) ka halwa Recipe is a quick and easy healthy sweet dish.
250 Gms sooji (semolina flour)
100 Gms ghee (clear unsalted butter)
250 Gms sugar
2 cup milk
¼ tsp cardamom powder
10 threads of saffron (kesar)
1 tbsp sliced almonds
Heat milk on medium flame, adds sugar, cardoman powder and saffron, and lowers the flame.
Heat ghee in a heavy bottomed frying pan on medium flame add sooji, stir constantly, cook until it becomes light brown, add hot milk very slowly, stir continuously, cook until halwa separates from the frying pan. Switch off the flame.
Grease a big tray (metal) using few drops of ghee.
Spread the hot thick and sticky mixture on the tray. Cool it.
Garnish with sliced almonds, Cool it, and cut in the shape of diamonds.
Halva is ready.
