Serves 4

Cooking time: 30 mins.


200 gms. mushrooms (cut into 2 sections)

4 onions, finely cut

2 green chillies, cut into long pieces

1” piece ginger, crushed finely

5 tomatoes, cut finely into pieces

½ cup cashewnuts, cut into pieces

½ tbsp. garam masala powder

1 cup cream

1 tbsp. sugar

1 tsp. fresh coriander leaves, cut very finely

Ghee as required

For garnishing:

Fried green peas


1. In a kerahi, heat ghee and add the onions and fry till golden brown, then add green chillies, garlic and tomatoes and cook.  Then the tomatoes are cooked, then remove the mixture from fire and let it cool.  Now make a paste in the blender. 

2. In pan, mix all the other ingredients except the mushrooms and cook for 2 mins.

3. Then add the mushrooms and let is cook on low flame.  When the mushrooms are cooked.  When the mushrooms are cooked, add the fresh coriander leaves and garnish with fried green peas and serve hot.
