Salty Dalia (cracked wheat) Recipe

Dalia(cracked wheat) salty recipie

For 4 persons

Time 20 minutes

250 gms dalia
100 gms arhar dal
1tsp salt (as to test)
1/2tsp cumin seeds
10 cloves (finely chopped)
2 middle size onion (chopped)
2 tbsp ghee(butter)
1 tbsp mustard oil
1liter water (hot)

First make arhar dal and keep aside, Now cut onion, cloves etc as shown in image.

add mustard seeds, curry leaves, cloves, onion (one by one maintaining order with interval of 5 seconds each), now fry it until it becomes light brown, add salt after that dalia and stir continually for approx 10 to 15 min till it becomes light brown and a sweet aroma comes,

Finally add prepared arhar dal, lower the flame, cook for 3-4 minutes, add roasted chopped cashew nuts, mix well, cook for 1 minute. Off the flame.
A nutritious salty dish is ready. Serve it with a sweet sauce or with vegetables and chutney.
