Dana Methi Recipe

100gm chana daal
50gm Dana Methi
½ teaspoon jeera
Salt (according to taste)
1 teaspoon red chilli powder
½ teaspoon Turmeric
¾ teaspoon Amchur (Dry mango)
¼ teaspoon hing

In a bowl pour 2 cups of water. Add chana daal in it. Keep it aside for ½ an hour.
Take acooking utensil. Keep it on flame. Add 1 big spoon of oil. When the oil becomes hot add jeera and hing to it. Then add chana daal, salt, Red chili powder, turmeric. Add ½ cup of water such that the daal totally dips down in water. Cook it in medium flame until the daal cooks more than half. Check that daal must not be undercooked or completely cooked. In a mean while wash dana methi with water and keep it aside. When the water comes to boil, add dana methi in it. Let it cook. Now check that whether the daana methi and daal has cooked completely or not. It must not be overcooked. Then lastly add amchur in it and cook for 5 minutes.
Dana methi is ready to serve.
