Carrot chutney


250 gms carrot ( grated)

1 inch ginger chopped

1/2 tsp. chili powder

5 cloves garlic

1/2 tsp. salt

1 tbsp. sugar

1 tbsp. lemon juice

1/2 tsp. cardamoms powder( moti elaichi)

1/2 tsp. mustard seeds

1 tbsp. mustard oil(refined oil)


Heat oil in a heavy frying pan, add mustard seeds, as cracking starts add ginger and garlic, after 30 seconds add carrot, add salt and sugar, stir well, cover it fully, low heat, cook for five minutes. Remove heat, do not open the cover, cool it naturally. Now add cardamom and lemon juice, stir well, again fry for 1 minute on high flame.

chutney is ready.
