100 gm. besan
100 gm. ghee
100 gm. sugar
1/2 tsp. cardamom powder
2 tbsp. raisins (washed, dried)
2 tbsp. cashew nuts (chopped)
1 cup water
Take a heavy bottom pan, pour ghee, medium heat, after 2-3 mts add besan, stir continuously, fry until color of the besan has turned dark brown and a fragrance start coming.
Add sugar, raisins and water simultaneously, stir vigorously so that lumps do not form, reduce heat, cook until mixture starts leaving the sides and bottom of the pan, add 1 tbsp. ghee, cardamom powder and cashew nuts, remove heat, mix well. cool it. Halwa is ready.
