Anjeer ka Halwa

Anjeer ka halwa is mouthwatering halwa recipe. When Anjeer is cooked with sugar and mawa you get a nutrient rich tasty dish.

Ingredients for making the Anjeer ka Halwa
250 gms dried figs (anjeer)
250 gms mava (khoya)
150 gms sugar
2 tsp nutmeg (jaiphal) powder
4 tbsp ghee
3 to 4 drops of rose essence (optional)
chopped mixed nuts and chirongi nuts (for decorating/optional)

Method
First you have to wash the anjeer and make small pieces, now put the anjeer pieces in water and cook for 4-5 hours. Than add ghee, mava, cashewnuts and sugar to it and mix well. (optional step )Add rose essence and jaiphal powder. Grease a thali with thin layer of ghee and spread the anjeer halwa in it. Decorate with grated badam,pista and charoli. Let it cool and make pieces and serve.
