Recipe to prepare Mango Pickel (Aam ka aachar) in Microwave oven
Few days ago I have prepared aam ka aachar in my oven, now the result was too awesome and the test is really better than compared to aam ka acchar available in the market.
This is a very simple recipe, which goes well with most parathas and vegetables. You can make it spicier if you like, by adding some more chilli powder.
1 kg green mango
1 tbsp Turmeric powder
3tsp Kala jeera (black cumin or shahi jeera)
2 tsp chilli powder
5 tsp Yellow mustard seed ( rai / sarson)
2 tsp Methi (seed)
2 tsp black pepper (powder)
First buy fresh 1 kg of green mango from the market, remove the upper green layer and cut them as shown in the image below
Take out half kg of mango and finely chopped them.
Now take all ingredients, sliced and chopped mango in microwave glass pot and Mix all the ingredients properly, finally add 10 tsp mustard oil and again mix them all.
Microwave settings – Set Power 50 and Max 10 Min of time.
and after the heating is done, add 10 tsp mustard oil. Fill the achaar in an air tight glass jar and keep aside for 2 days under sunlight. Put it under sunlight for 2 days in summer and for a week in winters.
